Stormwater is harvested via a new diversion weir/sump in the existing stormwater culvert which passes under the rail corridoor. A custom built hinged stainless steel trash screen, formed and poured in situ provides a sump for the pump to site in. From the sump water is pumped by way of rotorflush (self-cleaning) pump at a flow rate of 2l/s to the treatment room.
Once in the plantroom, the water is checked via a PH and turbidity sensor probes to ensure suitability prior to sending through the filtration train, unsuitable water is bypassed back downstream of the weir.
Filtration system comprises of a self-cleaning backwash filter, dual media vessels UV dosing and an additional Turbidity sensor to ensure the water has been screened and UV dosed within permissible limits.
Water is then transferred to the existing sports field header tank where it is stored for reuse in sportsfield Irrigation.

A new 3 phase power supply was run 350m from the existing site switchboard to the new plant room and a new RPZ protected water service was run to the existing tank as a backup supply.
A new plantroom was constructed to blend in with the surrounding landscape so as not to stand out in the native surrounds.
We now maintain this system on quarterly through our PM program.
The pumping/filtration system consists of the following:
