Stormwater harvested from the Wigram Rd catchment (Mirvac Development) through a new CDS GPT (primary treatment) into a 10m3 pump station.
Two submersible pumps harvest water at a varying rate of 3-20L/s to the bioretention basins. An integrated EC meter (electrical conductivity) can determine whether a king tide has back charged the pump station in which case the water will be bypassed downstream until it recovers.
Harvested water then flows through 2 x 200m2 bio-retention/raingardens (pre treatment) to improve stormwater quality before being pumped into the 520kL underground treated water storage tank via a dual submersible pumps set up at a rate of 3-20L/s. The tank also receives potable top up from mains water as a backup and is recorded with a magnetic flow meter/totaliser.
Once within the irrigation storage tank, water is pumped through a filtration system (tertiary treatment) via dual submersible pumps at 11L/sec and distributed to local to either Harold Park (local) Irrigation, Jubilee Oval header tank (500m) or to Federal Park North header tank (600m) via the DN125 rising main controlled as a pump pressure system.
“ This project was perfectly suited to our skillset and allowed us to demonstrate our ability to deliver sustainable local government infrastructure”Renni Pitkanen
A new 12 station irrigation system was install in Harold park Precinct along with a new 20station cloudmaster irrigation system was installed at Jubilee Oval. Federal reserve to the north received a complete irrigation overhaul and pump upgrade to
