Hurstville Golf Course Irrigation and pumping

Scope of works

A complete 18 hole irrigation upgrade designed by Hydroplan.

Works included a Toro central control package and weather station. A decoder type valve in head arrangement with over 300 sprinklers was installed and a 12000m of pipework and conduit. Both electrofusion and butt welding to the DN200 mainline.

Project included irrigation to all tees, greens and fairways along with a triplex Grundfos irrigation pump set upgrade to a duty of 12l/s @ 750kpa.

We also worked in conjunction with Donohoe and Sons Earthmoving who reshaped the lower fairways and gave the course a much needed uplift.

Part of the project included the upgrade of the site power supply to a 200amp service with new metering and level 2 connection.

Stage 1 of the project incorporated a water harvesting system which captures and treats water from the stormwater drains below the lower course and pumps to a new dam creating a very interesting par 3 before climbing the hill again from the lower course.
