Sydney Airport Plane waste dump station

Scope

• Installation of new FRP pump station with integrated valve pit for dual Flygt submersibles on guiderails to duty of 20L/sec @ 12m for pumping sewer to airports rising main network.
• Excavation in ground water to 5m requiring sheet piling and approved dewatering system to keep excavation site dry.
• Custom PLC control with integration to the airports SCADA system
• Dual insitu concrete macerator pit to process solids from plane prior to pump station including level sensors and alarms
• Custom stainless tapered inlet pit to receive waste from truck with high pressure rinse function to ensure pit is clean immediately after each use
• Dual Grundfos booster pumps to supply water for washdown
• All internal hydraulics including sewer drainage, hot/cold/tempered water and safety eye wash with alarm
• Electromagnetic flow sensor to monitor sewer outflow
