A design and construct project incorporating ACOR consultants as the lead engineers for structural and hydraulic design.

  • Pool Backwash water is harvested from the existing sump via a submersible pump on guide rails at a rate of up to 10l/s.
  • Water is stored in 2x50kl storage tanks where it is mixed with harvested rainwater from near by 1000m2 roof
  • Stage 1 filtration consists of bag and cartridge filtration down to 1micron before UV dosing to sterilise.
  • Water is then dosed with Sodium Metabisulphite to reduce residual chlorine and stored in a 3rd 50kl tank.
  • A water chemistry control monitors this water for suitability prior to stage 2 filtration.
  • Stage 2 filtration consists of media filtration and Reverse Osmosis to purify the water and prepare it for topping up the pools
  • Another water chemistry control doses the water with chlorine to sterilise and stores in a 4th 50kl tank.
  • Water is pumped from the tank via a VSD multistage pump to back to the pool balance tanks at a rate of 4l/s.
  • A fully programmable PLC has been installed to control all system parameters with SMS alarms and monitoring
