Scope of works

This project significantly reduced reliance on drinking water at Bankstown’s second highest water use site, by instead using treated stormwater for irrigation of sporting fields.

  • Stormwater is harvested from surrounding parklands, velodrome and roof area and surrounding street drains.
  • Water is pre-treated in a bioretention garden before being discharged into a upgraded 5ML storage dam and wetlands
  • Water is pumps from the dam via a wet well offtake, pre-screened and UV dosed before being distributed to the 4 irrigation header tanks for field irrigation via a 1.7klm rising main network.
