Sector:

Parks and Open Space

Project Range:

$300 - 350k

Days to Completion:

30 days

Water Saved:

100,000ltrs per day

Scope of works

Water is harvested from Angus Creek Wetlands via 2 x 30l/s Variable Speed submersible pumps in a wet well and transferred to a gravity main, which flows, into 2 x 1ML storage ponds.

Water is then fed through a bio retention system before entering the second pump wet well with 2 x 30l/s Variable Speed submersible pumps and transferred through to a shallow wetland storage of approximately 1ML.

From here the water enters the 3rd pump wet well 2 x 30l/s Variable Speed submersible pumps which has an automatic backwash filter and chlorine dosing system to disinfect the water prior to being stored in the 3 x 200kl concrete irrigation storage tanks.

Water is then distributed by way of Lowara Hydrovar triplex pump, TORO backwash filter and DAVEY UV disinfection out to the 7 irrigation header tanks in the surrounding sporting precinct for localised irrigation requirements via a 6km network.

A custom built ITECH SCADA system handles all logic, alarms, levels and pump controls with remote monitoring and SMS alarm notifications.

The project also received the award for excellence in infrastructure 2018. Read more here http://stormwaternsw.asn.au/events/awards-excellence/
