Scope of works

  • Water is harvested from an estimated catchment area of 60 hectares through tapping of an existing stormwater GPT and harvested at a rate of 30l/s during rainfall event.
  • Water is pumped then pre-treated via a 120kl buffer tank and flows under gravity via 2 x Humes hydro filters to the bulk storage area.
  • Bulk storage is via 2 x 200kl above ground concrete tanks shaped into clay embankment.
  • A prefabricated concrete underground plant room with double galvanised doors houses the Alllen Bradley PLC, ITT Flygt transfer pump and PLC, UV disinfection and screen filtration.
  • Water is then transferred to 3 x irrigation header tanks in the surrounding sports precinct.
